First Step Centre

A safe space to grow, learn, and play – and picture a better future

The First Step Center (FSC) was launched in 2002 as a safe space for children to come during the day. Most of the children who visit the FSC live on the street or come from abusive homes and are typically between the ages of 5-12 years old.

Children who come through are able to receive hygiene care, including haircuts for lice, toothbrushes, showers, and clean clothes. They also receive nutritious meals when they are at the Center and can engage with one another and staff in crafts and games.

Celebrating the Passionate Purpose

World Hope’s first-ever Online Gala could not have gone any better. Our community stepped up and we all experienced 37 feel-good minutes of good news.

AN ORGANIZATION YOU CAN TRUST.

Spending of World Hope International (Canada) funds is confined to Board approved projects. Funds designated towards a project are used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for that project has been met or cannot be completed for reasons determined by the Board, the remaining funds designated will be used where needed most.
