Did you know that women do 2.6 times more unpaid care and domestic work than men? That one in three women are likely to face violence in their lifetimes, and that public services and systems are seldom built with women in mind? In fact, a recent article from The Guardian shows the disturbing consequences of the ways that women continue to go unseen.
At World Hope, we believe in empowering women and work to provide them with tools, resources, and opportunity. Sometimes that means working with a community to gain safe access to clean water; sometimes it looks like collaborating on an enterprise like mushroom farming or greenhouses or selling ice. It looks like anti-trafficking activism and providing trauma care, finding ways to keep girls in school, and building resiliency and providing emergency response in disaster-prone communities, where women and children so often bear the brunt of

Spending of World Hope International (Canada) funds is confined to Board approved projects. Funds designated towards a project are used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for that project has been met or cannot be completed for reasons determined by the Board, the remaining funds designated will be used where needed most.
