Share Hope in Hard Places
Since 1979, the Jesus Film has been reaching people in their own language with the Gospel message. It is a beacon of hope in a dark world, igniting a spark in those who watch with the potential to grow into a raging inferno for Kingdom multiplication all around the world. For the past 46 years the team at Jesus Film has been working with trusted partners to translate the film into over 2,200 languages and that number is still growing.
Everyone everywhere should have the opportunity to hear The Good News without barriers. This is why the team works innovatively to share the Jesus Film and discipleship media in the native languages of those who haven’t yet heard the Gospel.
They not only provide Jesus Film kits, but they also have an app for those who have access to internet and a hotspot device containing numerous resources that can be used where access to the internet is limited. Neither language nor literacy are barriers to hearing the Gospel.
Sharing the Good News in Sierra Leone
In Sierra Leone, there is a team of Wesleyan pastors and evangelists who travel long distances over difficult terrain to ensure people can hear the Gospel message and have the opportunity to respond to it.
Whatever the conditions, they faithfully follow the call to carry the light of Jesus to some of the hardest places around the world. The team is committed to follow up, disciple, and plant churches when people respond to the Gospel.
Recently, the team travelled to three remote communities by motorbikes to share the Jesus Film. This is likely the first and possibly the only movie the people in these villages will ever see. After setting up the film equipment the team prays as they wait in anticipation for villagers of all ages to arrive.

Good News
Anticipation builds as people stream in and fill up the seats, waiting to hear the Good News. Darkness comes and the film begins. It is beautiful to experience others hear about Jesus for the first time. Some have heard His name, but the Jesus Film reinforces who He is and what He has done for all who will believe in Him.
The team takes the opportunity at the end of the Film to invite anyone who wants to place their trust in Jesus to do so. There is no rushing or watching of the clock. There is hope. The people have just experienced the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Some will walk away, some will stay and receive. Seeds are being planted, and the Holy Spirit does the work of salvation through the finished work of the cross and the resurrection. A new life in Christ is the gift received.
And then he [Jesus] told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15 NLT
How Can I Be a Part of This?
Prayer is a great place to start. Pray for the teams who are driving over dangerous roads to reach the lost. Pray for those who will come to view the Jesus Film. Pray for local leaders to encourage villagers to come and hear the Good News. Pray for the families of the leaders who are going to share the Jesus Film. Pray for the equipment to work properly.
You can give to the ministry of the Jesus Film. For $425, you can provide a showing of the Jesus Film and follow up discipleship. There are people in Sierra Leone who need to hear the hope of Jesus Christ and the opportunity to respond to His invitation to them. We are so grateful for the team of pastors and evangelists on the ground that are sharing the Good News.
