This new year, we are celebrating 25 years of transformation among the most vulnerable communities in the world.
Transformational development means the community leads the direction of programs, identifying what they need most to live well. This might include access to nearby safe water, help with agriculture, or bicycles so their children can get to school. Community-led poverty alleviation has sustainability as a core measure of success. It builds the capacity of local leaders while serving the most vulnerable in the poorest countries in the world. Transformational development means that we do not separate our faith from our actions. In everything, we work in the way of Jesus.
Our vision is as clear today as it was 25 years ago:
We envision every person living in poverty to have opportunity, dignity, and hope so they can possess the tools for change in themselves, their family, and their community.
We hold essential values that we believe will lead us into the next 25 years:

The needs present in today’s world are complex and deeply interconnected. Therefore our programs complement one another and act as a holistic response to poverty allowing transformational development to take place.
